"Secure, controlled, and validated multiple-level-record-keeping is essential to quality assurance and compliance."
A Greenfield Product.
In 2018, I collaborated with stakeholders at Wells Fargo to launch a new Global Securities and Tax Aggregation SaaS product. In this role, I served as both a trusted advisor and the lead representative for user experience, guiding the project to ensure alignment with user needs and business goals.
The Process.
The project kicked off with a three-to-four-week discovery phase, during which I conducted stakeholder interviews to identify business requirements, established a timeline for design deliverables, and conducted extensive research.
Following this, the project moved into a series of stakeholder workshops. Here, we engaged in collaborative whiteboarding sessions to define core concepts and map out the user journey. This groundwork paved the way for the creation of low-fidelity wireframes.
Once the low-fidelity wireframes were validated and the proof of concept was established, I developed a style guide for the user interface and progressed to high-fidelity wireframing.
Having successfully led the project through these initial stages with timely and effective deliverables, I then managed the integration of additional design resources. This expanded team capacity enabled me to diversify my involvement, allowing me to seamlessly transition between this and other client projects as needed. Throughout this process, I continued to offer solutions and guidance to designers and developers, ensuring the product’s advancement through its iterative phases.
The Product.
The product is engineered to efficiently filter, aggregate, and relay essential data including global securities positions, tax records, and documentation archives. It provides users with the capability to add or remove data from documents through a structured, tiered quality control system.
Users can customize queries based on various criteria such as date, geographic region, fund, account type, business line, and contractual obligations.
"Secure, controlled, validated multiple-level-record-keeping was essential to quality assurance."
In instances where modifications to specific record terms are required, a clearly defined hierarchy allows authorized users to make edits within a secure and certified quality control chain. This multilevel approval process ensures no single user can alter records unilaterally. At least three levels of user approvals are mandatory before any amendments are officially approved. Each step in this process creates a verifiable record, capturing both a user ID and a timestamp.
